SYNOPSIS

Reese King may be stuck in a rut, overworking herself teaching entry-level Biology labs at a local college. When one particular student shows up in her class, though, she’s thrown for more than a loop. She hasn’t been attracted to a student before, but she knows she’ll never give in to the temptation.

When Max Logan enrolls in classes at a small college far from his elitist family’s reach, he’s floundering for another purpose in life. After heartbreak and a debilitating accident, he’s lost his dream of an Air Force career. So now what is he supposed to do? Drinking and sleeping around is getting him nowhere fast, and he vows to change. No more alcohol, no more women. Never again will he seek a long-term relationship, either.

However, attraction doesn’t lie, and Reese and Max face the challenge of the student-teacher boundary. Friendship comes next, but after that? Never say never…

This was a very pleasant experience with this author’s work, I’m new with her and this book was a such a great start because is very easy to read and get trapped in the story and characters.

Love both hero and heroine, Max Logan is a little hard to deal because of all the pain and things that he’s been carrying, his family is one of those that is better if you don’t have it. Those people are so despicable, mean ...

And Reese is so fun to read, I love her. She’s strong and caring, very supportive when Max needed.

I have to admit that when I started this book and get to the part that Reese is a teacher and Max a student I was kinda disappointed and jumped to a conclusion that this is going to be another teacher-student plot but surprisingly is not, sure is about that regarding the principal characters but booth of them are adults, and the way booth complement their personalities and everything they went through is what really got me and keep me reading.

The drama is not that much, but the much or little was really sad to read, after that we get to a very happy part and ending :)

Thanks to the author and DSF promotions for providing and ARC on exchange for my honest review.

About the author

Amabel Daniels lives in Northwestern Ohio with her husband and their young daughters. Their home is complete with a zoo of three mutts, and three cats. Although she has a graduate education in Ecology, Amabel’s true passion has always been books. As a child, she would tag along after her big brother, building tree forts and playing hide and seek. But if she wasn’t climbing a tree or exploring, she probably had her nose in a book, escaping into the wonderful world of fiction.

As an adult, she continues to satisfy her addiction to books, not only reading them, but also critiquing, editing, and writing them as well. In her free time from chasing after ambitious children and misbehaving dogs, she is busy day-dreaming (brainstorming) her next novel.
