SYNOPSIS

From New York Times Bestselling Author, Claire Contreras, comes a new, sexy, 100% stand-alone novel . . .

If you had any ties to Marbella, it was impossible for you not to have heard the stories about Prince Elias and his debauchery.
Every summer he arrived with his security detail and friends in tow and rented out a row of cottages near the water.
Cottages that belonged to my family.
Each of those summers, my parents sent me away – summer camp and later, boarding school. Anything to keep me away from the royals and their partying.
I hadn’t been home in years, but when I finally come back for the summer, I see that not much has changed. Like all the summers I’d been gone, Prince Elias is back, but this time with an incognito security detail and no friends. This time, there is no partying, no noise, no crowds. No reason at all to even think he was there.
I’m given strict orders not to talk to him, not to even look in his direction, but he makes this an impossible task. I may be doing everything in my power to stay away from him, but there is no one in the world who can say no to the future King of France.

This is a modern fairytale.

I need to be very honest with this and is that I don’t like this story as much as I love other Claire’s previous books.

I feel like this was a reflection of the gossip that is going on right now with the England monarchy. Lot’s of similarities regarding this couple with the now no more duchess of Sussex (at least for me), and that doesn’t bother me at all, I have my opinion about those two and is to do whatever makes them happy, so no problem here with that. What confused me a little is the places where this story is developing, correct me if I’m wrong but there’s no monarchy in France anymore, that keeps popping in my mind while I was reading. That on side, then this prince was not very catching my attention like normally happens with this author characters, he’s attitude is very hard to accept, don’t like the way he treat the heroine in most of the book, maybe just by the end he got me but not totally. Adeline, well I can go with her a little more but I wish she was a little more strong toward Elias, she deserves a better treatment from him. I hate that I love more the friends of this couple when I should be all over Addie and Eli, especially Etienne and Pierre, I found both of them very lovely and caring. Aramis intrigue me so I can’t wait to read he’s book.

In conclusion I liked it but I don’t get all crazy, is a very light read who keeps me wonder how things would end and if this couple would find they HEA, and they do, so yes I do recommended, I keep saying that we all have different opinions about the same book, so I encourage to read the book and come on with your own.

Thank you Claire Contreras for sending me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
