SYNOPSIS

I always believed in fairy tales, but he believed in nightmares.

Damian Blackstone didn’t care about my existence. He came into my world for one reason only. He came to find answers about his past.

He moved like the villain in my favorite fairy tales. He wasn’t the one who received the happily ever afters; he was the one who destroyed them.

Which was why I couldn’t understand why the man who raised me set it up in his will for Damian and me to be married. I wasn’t certain I’d be able to live with a man like Damian. We were as opposite as any two people could be. I loved to bathe in the sunlight while he prospered in the shadows.

I didn’t think I’d develop feelings for the one who looked at me as if I were nothing more than a means to an end. Yet in his darkness, sometimes I’d see sparks of light. I’d see gentleness. I’d see his soul.

We became entangled with one another as we fell into mistakes and called them fate. I was his Cinderella, and he was my Beast.

I wasn’t certain that twisted fairy tales ended with happily ever afters.
Still, I was determined to find out.

What can I say that y’all already know when we read this author.
The way she gets deep into you with her words is amazing.
I cry and laugh while reading this book. I feel sad for what Damian and Stella went through in their childhood and while growing up.
Seeing Damian begging to be loved and at the same time Stella been loved for the person that should known about Damian and taking care of him was hard to read, but then also Stella been hiding in silence afraid of losing the father and family she’s enjoying so much was also really sad and enraged me because I believe those people exist in real life. Adults who infringe pain to the most vulnerable just because they can is something I will never understand.

There’s parts in the book that I really enjoyed, like Damian and Stella watching movies together, the ice cream, but mostly the way they opened up to each other when the right time. Stella worth a world, she deserves everything, if only she can see it.
Damian maybe looks like the beast but is just a matter of time and scratch the surface to find a man full of caring and love.

But there’s other parts I just can get it, like a boyfriend of ten years been ok with an arranged married, I mean I understand is all of convenience from his side, but men, we talking about your girlfriend with some strange man!!

I really wanted to love more this book, which I do but not all the way and like some other stories from this author.

Thank you, Brittainy, for giving us another heartbroken but beautiful story, highlighting some self steam issues, we all are valuable and deserved to be treated with love, caring and respect.

I received an ARC on exchange of my honest review.
