SYNOPSIS

Greyson East left his mark on me.

As the young girl who first fell for him, I didn’t know much about life. I did know about his smiles, though, and his laughs, and the strange way my stomach flipped when he was near.

Life was perfect…until it wasn’t, and when we were forced to go our separate ways, I held on to our memories, let go of my first crush, and wished for the day I’d find him again.

When my wish came true, it was nothing like I imagined.

I couldn’t have known when I took the nanny position that it would be his children I looked after, that my new boss would be that boy I used to know, that boy who was now a man—a cold, lonely, detached man.

The smile and laugh I had loved so much were gone, now distant memories. Every part of him was covered in a fresh pain.

When he realized who I was, he made me promise to do my job and my job only.

He made me promise not to try to get to know him, not to recall the memories I’d treasured all this time.

But, sometimes, I saw the boy I’d once known in his stormy eyes. I saw the Greyson who smiled and laughed, who had stolen a young girl’s heart, and there was no doubt in my mind that this boy was worth fighting for.

I was given a second chance with the one who’d left his mark on me. All I hoped was that somehow I’d leave a mark on his soul, too.

I have just finished reading this book and as always happens with this author I have loved it.

The story is divided into two parts and in both I have suffered equally.

The first part will know Eleanor and Grey being very young, discovering and exploring those first times but also suffering the first blows of life. Loving and having to let go of loved ones who never leave at all.
“Ellie?” “Yes, Grey?” “Would it be cliché of me to ask if I can kiss you?” “Yes.” I scooted closer, so close that his lips were millimeters from mine, so close that his exhales became my inhales, so close that my mind had already decided it was going to be the best first kiss of my life. “But do it anyway.” And then he did.

The second part we will find two adults beaten and with very deep footprints that will break our hearts as we go deep into these wounds.
Greyson is no longer the cheerful Boy we met at the beginning and he will need Ellie's strength and determination to move forward and not miss the most important thing in his life.

Eleanor in spite of all her pain and loss continues with that high and strong spirit that contagious and makes you want to live again and be happy.
“Ellie?” “Yes, Grey?” “Would it make it harder to walk away if I kissed you?” he asked. “Yes.” I moved in closer, so close that his lips were millimeters from mine, so close that his breaths out became my breaths in. We were so close that my mind had already decided it was going to be the best goodbye kiss of my life. “But do it anyway.” And then he did.

Without a doubt this book is one of those that I will have a hard time letting go, it has made me laugh and move with those first times of Ellie and Grey and then cry when things get too dark and sad, even and with all that I loved every part of it and it is a reading that I will always recommend because in the end you stay with a big smile and I say to myself that phrase "More of that Ara".
